I’ve been an independent writer and editor since 1991, focusing on food, general business, technology, and the housing industry--but often going to where the clients and needs are in other industries. In other words, I'm versatile and a quick study.
I write for corporations and nonprofits: My B2B and B2C work for corporations and other organizations (directly or via their marketing and PR firms) encompasses everything from ghostwriting articles and speeches for top executives to writing website, blog, newsletter, and brochure copy; annual reports; and white papers--sometimes even press releases. I am experienced and welcome projects specific to a client’s unique needs.
While I write primarily about technology, general business, and food, I have also done extensive work in the fields of health care, home building, real estate/architecture/design, sustainability, and biotechnology.
I write social media content for corporations and nonprofits: I'm well versed in social media. I love collaborating with business owners or marketing execs to create powerful engagement in line with their brand to meet their goals on various social media platforms.
I write about food, interior design/architecture, gardening, health, and pets: My articles have appeared in a variety of traditional media, such as Sunset, Saveur, Eating Well, the Los Angeles Times, San Diego Magazine, San Diego Home, Garden/Lifestyles, and The San Diego Union-Tribune, as well as websites like ediblesandiego.com (where I wrote the blog Close to the Source), sharecare.com, Diabetes Daily, and culinate.com. My blog, San Diego Foodstuff, was a vital part of the burgeoning San Diego food community from 2007 to 2019, when I decided to retire it. My articles and blog posts have garnered multiple awards from the San Diego Press Club over many years, including Best of Show.
